-empyre- soft_skinned_space “Glitched, Cracked, and Dirty Media”

In retrospect to GLI.TC/H and as a preview to the future conversations on glitch art (amongst them the conversations that I will chair during the Aesthetics panels taking place at 2012 Transmediale ), Patrick Lichty just kicked of a month long Empyre mailinglist conversation on "Glitched, Cracked, and Dirty Media". Guests include the GLI.TC/H/BOTS (jon.satrom, Nick Briz and me), Caleb Kelly , Theo Darst (co-curator of the video screening of GLI.TC/H), jonCates (lecturer at the New Media at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago), Marisa Olsen (artist/writer), and last but definitely not least,  Curt Cloninger (Glitch linguistix researcher).

As a result, a slow transformation has drifted us into a world where smog-ridden skies became the most beautiful sunsets imaginable and the white noise of a television lulls us to sleep at night.
